The Golem of Prague, 1992
Oil Painting
60 in (h) x 48 in (w)

This painting is based on an old legend, in which Rabbi Loeb of Prague created a homunculus to ward off antisemitic attacks on the ghetto in the 16th century. This became the basis for a vast body of tales, novels, poems, and plays.
